I wish this picture did the quilt more justice. My dear friend, Mae, created it with my design set. In person it is tone on tone but look at her pleats and her finished prairie points. Being the creative woman she is, I learned from her that blue painter's tape is the best way to hold pleats together when sewing.
When I did my prairie points on my orange Kaleidoscope quilt project, I did them one by one. But once again, Mae showed me how she created her own prairie point strip binding and then added that strip to finish off the edge of her quilt.
And this week is her birthday, so Happy Birthday Mae - you are one of my dearest friends!
