I'm back on line getting ready for the AEC Conference!

I have been immersed in website rebuilding, classes, and events. And today is a day of celebration as I cleared out all of my email. The joy of having no old messages waiting for attention is something that many of you can relate to.

My projects are all sewn, and the kits are 90% together for the The American Embroidery Conference which is being held here in just a few short weeks.

This Denim Patchwork Bag is one of my classes for the event. It is lined with white and navy Toile fabric and has a secure zippered closure. There is a handy clip holder inside to help secure the car keys. Most of all it is easy to make. As I was packing up kits thanks to the help of Lulu, Kim, Fran and Kristen - I made a discovery. I had never opened the box of zippers I ordered. Upon doing so I found pale yellow zippers! As soon as my helpers left, I got on the phone and called the company in NYC and my Navy zippers have been shipped out today. So that is why the kits are 90% finished.

The new website has been quite an undertaking and will be released shortly. After 12 years of residing on the same server using the same program for creating it, I received a notice letting me know that the server was coming down, the company was purchased by another, and that my Frontpage was now a terminated program. This happened within weeks of a comcastic holiday, so coffee drinking and blogging had to be put to the side. But all is well now. In retrospect, I needed to rewrite over 100 pages of html codes, and it was time to learn new software, and the shopping cart needed to be written, and of course, I needed to compile the mailing list.

So how has your last 2 months been?

I just feel happy to have it almost completed so I decided this was the day to brew mid-day coffee and blog...
