For the last week and a half, I have been cutting out project kits for the upcoming American Embroidery Conference. Aprons kits and Crazy quilted shoulder bags, and this past Sunday I decided I needed a break. So off I went to Millie's house and learned a few tricks for making cards.
I learned that my Sizzix was more than a statue in my studio. A wonderful tip for bending wire. Even how to use my paper scissors more effectively.
After I finished my two cards, Millie sent me home with a little basket to make. See Millie I did complete it at home! For two hours I had a complete mental break from work and the "to do" list. Did I mention, I played with color pens? Something did come to my mind as I was creating paper art: skills from sewing easily transferred to this such as making "seams in paper", using a grommet punch, straight lines need to be straight, ribbons dress things up, and to measure twice and cut once.
Millie is serious about card making and scrapbook time and indeed her cards are beautiful. Thank you Millie, for giving me some truly appreciated pointers and ideas!
