Scrapbooking influence on Sewing & Embroidery

With school starting, and Halloween decor showing up in stores, here is a cute idea. Last week, I had the fun experience of being with a scrapbook diva, Millie, and she guided us through a cute covered paper journal.

It turned out quite adorable (Posted 8/7/2009) and after being bombarded with movie previews, scrapbook newsletters, store displays and seeing composition notebooks on sale at Office Depot for $.99, what could be cuter? Now this book cover is stitched together with a fun little owl on the cover. It is the project of the month at And easily adapted for other themes. Join the newsletter, if you have not already done so, and receive this project idea with design to be sent out for the month of August only! The newsletter delivery begins tomorrow at 11 p.m. and ends August 31, 2009 at 11 p.m.

This sample book has a son, daughter, or grandchild in mind. Will they write class notes in it or magical inspiration - whooo knows? (I couldn't resist that one!) Have a great weekend ~ Cookie

Cookie ~ Is there a printed tutorial for this project? I'd love to have this to print out while making them. Have I missed that somewhere? I got the newsletter and watched the video but having the instruction in print would make it much easier to create.

Thank you for such great ideas.
