Why do I love to Crazy Quilt?

I have given this a lot of thought since I have not ever been an avid quilter, to date. I like crazy quilting because it uses up all my scraps from classroom kits. It doesn’t require cutting out triangles and other precise shapes to be joined and matched at corners! I can add embellishments as I go along. It gives me an easy way to use all the many stitches that come on my sewing machine. It goes together rather quickly. It doesn’t require tons of templates or different style rulers. I can use the finished fabrics in quilts or in clothing. the more I think about it, I wonder why other people do not love it as much as I do!

I love Crazy Quilting too. The first quilt I made was crazy quilted wall quilt. I put all kinds of little pieces of laces, ribbons, buttons and charms on that are from meaningful events in my life.. It has become pretty full over the years with memorabilia. My daughters are arguing over who is going to get it.Joan Ruffing

Joan, I see this as a real win for you to have two daughters arguing over your "art". Congratulations!

Cookie, I love crazy quilting as well. I often look fondly at the pillow I did in one of your classes. Crazy quilting is whimsical and perhaps that is one reason we love it.
