Stray thoughts before midnight

Here is the I-T-H gift item contained in the free February issue of the Cookiescreations newsletter, just in case you are not already a subscriber.  You can join it now by entering your email in the subscription box on the home page of cookiescreations.com.

We have been revamping our Singles page so there is a lot of activity going on behind the scenes now that our website and newsletter are functioning nicely.  It's 11:30 at night and I am having a cup of chai tea.  I went to a wonderful tea house in Roswell, GA and they gave me great directions and I understood them beautifully.  BUT, my execution of their method needs improvement as I see tea leaves floating in it.  So if you know of a good "strainy thingy" to use with loose tea leaves, please clue me in.

Have you had a difficult time learning how to do the flip and fold method of Crazy Quilting?  I have been doing it for years and using it in clothes, accessories and home decor.  And we have released a special video just for our subscribers which is included in our newsletter.
Here are some of the fun things I have made using this technique and you can, too!  Of course, if you sign up for the American Embroidery Conference I would be happy to teach it to you first hand with a fun tote and matching accessories class to complete the look.

A few past projects of the past:

I have a closets and drawers that are full of vests, cards and quilts that show the versatility of what you can do with this technique.  I love it because you are just cutting strips and there is no real serious matching of pieces like you have in traditional quilting. If you can thread a machine and sew a straight line, you can do it. Crazy quilted items are beautiful in silk dupioni. Once you watch the video in the February Subscriber newsletter you will quickly see how easy it is.  I would love to see what you do with it. ~ Cookie
